Citation: Robert E. Cullis, O31942, Major, 16th Infantry. For meritorious service in connection with operations in the Army of Occupation in Germany from 11 March 1946 to 11 September 1946. Assigned as Regimental Executive Officer with the 16th Infantry Regiment, Major Cullis tirelessly and competently discharged his own allotted duties and the many extra tasks he volunteered to undertake. Devoting long hours of his free time, Major Cullis worked ceaselessly and with tremendous energy to insure close coordination and cooperation within the regiment and with contacts out of the regiment. The exceptionally high standards set and the outstanding manner in which Major Cullis performed his duties have contributed materially to the high standards of efficiency and excellence attained by his regiment. Major Cullis is hereby authorized to wear the Army Commendation Ribbon by direction of the Secretary of War. Residence at appointment: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
