Citation: Oliver M. Biederman, O1332570, First Lieutenant, Headquarters Company, 16th Infantry. For meritorious service in connection with operations in the Army of Occupation in Germany from 1 September 1945 to 1 July 1946. During this period Lieutenant Biederman, though confronted by numerous difficulties, planned and executed remodeling of a stable into a modern Post Exchange building at Landshut, Germany. His unselfish efforts were instrumental in building and maintaining a high standard of morale among the officers and enlisted men of the 16th Infantry. Lieutenant Biederman is hereby authorized to wear the Army Commendation Ribbon by direction of the Secretary of War. Residence at appointment: St. Louis, Missouri.
